Mothers’ Role
At this stage, a mother’s role is crucial in helping to build her child’s Resilience. Support them during playtime. Ask them to arrange toys in categories, such as color. Let them explore and practice eating by themselves and learning the proper way to use cutlery. By letting them to do things on their own, they learn to be Self-Reliant and Perseverance.
Ensure that they spend more time outside. Take them outside to the garden or go on a day out at the zoo. Give them plenty of opportunities to walk, run, and explore the world around them freely. Encourage them to explore new thing and try new experiences despite uncertainty. With these, they learn to be Daring, Brave and Courageous to experiment with the unknown.
Encourage their involvement in board games and sports which encourage social interaction, communication, and fun. It helps them express emotions and identify various tones of voice, including body language. And this teaches children about a multitude of possible reactions. These activities increase the child’s ability to be flexible by encouraging trial of different options to creatively solve problems. In the long run, the child learns to Adapt easily to different situations.
Teach your child to recognize letters and numbers, to understand their body parts and names of familiar items around them. When it comes to correcting wrong words used, you may repeat the right words to them. Encourage them to keep trying despite mistakes until they get them right. With these, they will learn perseverance, a pillar that educates them not to give up, achieving something as a result of persistence.
Your undivided patience will be the determining factor in helping them to shape their growth. Please remember that your child is still in the adaptation process of learning how to control and express themselves.
